Fengxin Orphanage

2006-03 -My husband and I adopted our daughter from Jianxin SWI on February 17, 2006. She lived at Jianxin for approx. 10 months (April 28, 2005 to Feb 17th, 2006).

Her paperwork indicates that she lived at the Fengxin County SWI for the first two months of her life prior to being transferred to Jianxin SWI (March 1, 2005 to April 28, 2005).

More in-depth reading and deciphering indicates she was actually found at the gates of a branch of Fengxin County SWI called the "Fengchuan Branch" and was transferred to Fengxin County SWI on the same day (March 1, 2005). She was born Feb. 27, 2005. (DP)

2005-09 - I have two daughters and they both have the name Feng, but it is not spelled with the same Chinese character.

Thea - Feng Yuhuan was born in Fengcheng

Bella - Gan Feng Qiong was born in Fengchuan (Fengxin is another name of this town) but was transferred to Jiangxin SWI after a couple of months in Fengxin SWI.

They are not from the same orphanage. (AH)

A family received their referral for a child from this orphanage in August 1999. This is the first time I've heard of someone adopting from this orphanage. It may be that this is a smaller orphanage that is just getting started in international adoptions. On the map it appears to be a smaller town and is about 50 km west of Nanchang. If you or anyone you know has adopted from this orphanage I'd love to hear from you.
