Fuzhou Social Welfare Institute
Apparently the name of the city of Fuzhou (in Jiangxi province) was changed to Linchuan City so the name of the orphanage was also changed sometime during 1997. (Has since been changed back to Fuzhou) Several families have confirmed that it is the same orphanage director and he explained the name change to them. Recently families have not been allowed to visit the orphanage (with a few exceptions) and one family was able to go to Linchuan but not the orphanage. But during 1994 there were families that visited and they were able to take photos and video. By most reports it appears that almost all the children under the age of three are in foster care. The children adopted have overall been healthy and have appeared well cared for. Some accounts of visits and photos are included below.
